Naki savours the luxe life ‘Down Under’
SAINT beauty in Oroton collection campaign
Luxury fashion houses from Paris to New York have consistently sought out Jamaican top model Naki Depass as a face for their global advertising buildouts. And, true to form, the SAINT International star is back in the spotlight for the just-dropped ad campaign for Australian clothing and accessories company, Oroton.
The campaign collection titled, ‘The Atelier - Compositions’, which Depass informed Living was photographed last month in Australia where she’s now on a two-month long assignment, comprises a mixture of masculine tailored fits and Oroton heritage-detailed selections.
Covetable foulard print camp shirts, pleat pants, blazers, crewnecks, cutwork tops, and embroidered blouses, are among the newly available garments from the high-end company’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.
Taking pride of place in the collection’s rollout – and prominently integrated into the visuals lensed by Victoria Zschommler– is a veritable assortment of Orton’s tote accessories: mini bags, large day bags, beauty cases, sleeves and bowler bags.
“I’m obsessed with the bags,” enthused the SAINT beauty. “I love all of them.”
Booked by her Australian agency, Chadwick Models, for the Oroton job, Depass, who’s been recruited to co-front campaigns for Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs and Helmut Lang, said, “We shot for an entire day in Melbourne ... it was both for the campaign and also a slew of e-commerce images. I worked alongside Australian model Aude Mangharam on the shoot.”
Known primarily for their upscale signature mesh evening bags, Oroton was established in 1938 and retails leather bags for women and men. It is the oldest luxury fashion house in Australia with over 50 storefronts and concessions between there and Malaysia. The company made a seismic shift in the fashion industry Down Under in the 1950s, swapping traditional materials to construct evening bags for an Australian-invented product — interwoven metallic mesh.
When off model duty in Oz, the Caribbean islander relishes nature and art appreciation. “I love going to the parks to relax in the beautiful scenery,” she disclosed. “I’ve recently visited the Australian Museum. I still have a few places to visit before I leave.”
Living is on seasonal trend-watch with one of The Rock’s eminent model citizens.
