Turning 55 is more than a milestone — it’s a celebration of transformation, freedom, and stepping boldly into one’s purpose. For Patricia Mowatt, it marked a chapter of grace, growth, and undeniable style.

To honour the occasion, the co-owner of Mowatt’s Concrete Limited hosted a sophisticated wine-and-dine soirée at the picturesque Villa Sur Mer on Negril’s west end. With every detail reflecting her vibrant spirit and signature fashion sense, the event was both stylish and soul-filled.

“She’s a natural fashionista with a keen eye for bold yet classy looks,” said close friend Michelle Whitelocke Fenton. For her birthday shoot and the main event — both captured by Zavian Photography — Mowatt styled herself entirely from her own wardrobe, choosing red as her signature hue.

“Red was one of Patricia’s least favourite colours until she discovered how well it complemented her skin tone. It quickly became her newfound love,” Whitelocke Fenton added.

From July 1 to 5, Mowatt, affectionately called ‘Pattie’ or ‘Pat’, wore red daily, a bold expression of confidence and energy. The colour also shaped the event’s décor, tying fashion and celebration into one cohesive statement.

The celebration brought together a circle of loved ones, including friends Francine Acosta and Roan Wedderburn, who shared memories as vibrant as the woman they toasted.

“Pat told me I could do this,” Acosta recalled of a nerve-racking plane ride. “She held my hand for the entire four-hour flight. At that moment, I knew this woman would have my back for life.”

Mowatt’s husband, Ansel, was by her side to mark the moment. The couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary the day after her birthday. “I just hope she continues to live, continues to laugh. And I hope God’s blessings continue to glow on her,” he said.
