Movement meets motivation at Power in the Park
Fitness enthusiasts gathered at Emancipation Park last Thursday for Power in the Park, a free outdoor workout hosted by Powerade. The after-work event was led by certified trainer Andre Brown, popularly known as Supreme Body Sculpting JA, and welcomed participants of all fitness levels for a high-energy, full-body session.
The class featured a mix of bodyweight resistance, cardio bursts, and functional movements designed to challenge endurance and foster a sense of community. Upbeat music set the tone, while the park’s open-air setting provided a refreshing backdrop as guests moved in sync under Brown’s guidance.
“Movement is power; not just physically, but mentally,” said Brown. “It’s about showing up, doing your best, and leaving stronger than you came. Events like these remind people that they don’t have to do it alone.”
Throughout the session, participants stayed hydrated with Powerade in line with the brand’s Pause is Power message. The sports drink, which is distributed by Wisynco Group Limited, was served chilled at the brand’s booth, where attendees in activewear were welcomed and treated to flavours like Mountain Blast and Fruit Punch.
The initiative was part of the brand’s mission to reinforce the message that performance is more than output; it is also about recovery, consistency, and community.
“Power in the Park is all about movement with intention,” said Chantellee McDonald, senior brand manager, Coca-Cola portfolio, Wisynco Group Limited. “It was important for us to create a space that felt welcoming, whether you’re an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey. It’s about feeling good in your body and being supported by the people around you.”
