In an intimate celebration on Tuesday evening, British High Commissioner Judith Slater hosted a farewell reception at her residence for the 2025 Chevening Scholars. The cohort of 17 scholars — one of the largest in recent years — was joined by family, friends, and even former Chevening recipients on the lawns of the Windrush Garden, to mark an occasion many described as the opportunity of a lifetime. From cocktails and hors d’oeuvres to lively conversations, photo ops, networking, and the forging of new friendships, the scholars officially gathered one last time before departing to pursue their studies in the United Kingdom. Something Extra captured a few social highlights.
