With ongoing recovery efforts under way across the island, benefit concerts have taken centre stage this festive season, placing music and heart at the forefront. Among the most recent were ‘An Evening of Light, Music and Giving: One Love, One Light’, hosted by Chabad Jamaica on the lawns of King’s House, and ‘Kings of Christmas’, hosted by Island Kings on Sunday.

Platinum-selling artiste Alex Clare was a highlight of the evening, delivering stirring performances of songs including Rebuild Again and his global hit Too Close. Meanwhile, Island Kings treated patrons to a sweet musical compilation of renditions during their inaugural concert, which also served as a toy drive in support of children in western Jamaica. Here are the social highlights from both events.
