Miss Jamaica World 2025 Nevaeh Allen returned to familiar ground, visiting the Sagility Angels campus in St Catherine to motivate and empower female employees ahead of International Women’s Day. Allen spent time engaging with brand advocates during a fireside-style conversation focused on this year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, which she described as a guiding principle in her life and service.

“Give to Gain reminds us that success is never just about personal achievement,” Allen said. “When we invest in others, when we listen, uplift and share our experiences … we all grow stronger together. That’s why being here meant so much to me.”

The visit was especially meaningful for Allen, who grew up in Linstead, an area closely connected to many of the employees. Many of the young women at the facility come from nearby communities such as Bog Walk and Ewarton, places Allen said are similar to the environment that shaped her own upbringing.

“When I look at these young women, I see reflections of my own journey,” she said. “I know what it’s like to grow up in a small community and dream big. I wanted them to know that their starting point does not determine their destination.”

The visit also aligned with Allen’s Beauty with a Purpose advocacy work through the Miss Jamaica World Organization, which focuses on service-driven leadership and community empowerment.

Sagility’s human resource director Stacey Beckford described the event as a powerful moment of inspiration for employees.

“Many of our team members are young women just beginning to navigate their professional lives,” Beckford said. “To have someone like Nevaeh, who comes from their own communities, standing in front of them as a national title-holder is incredibly motivating.”

She added that the interaction gave employees a glimpse of new possibilities for themselves. The visit also underscored the evolving nature of international beauty competitions. Modern pageants are no longer defined solely by glamour and presentation; they now emphasise leadership, advocacy, and meaningful social impact, transforming pageant queens into ambassadors of empowerment and change.

Sagility executives noted that this philosophy aligns closely with the company’s global S.O.A.R. mantra, which encourages employees to strive, achieve and reach their highest potential.

Leaders from both organisations said the collaboration felt timely as the world pauses to recognise women’s leadership and celebrate the next generation of change-makers. And for Allen, the message she hoped to leave behind was simple, but powerful.

“When women support and uplift each other, incredible things happen,” she said. “That spirit of giving creates a ripple effect, and that is how we all gain.”
