Jamaicans love good food and a great bargain, so it was no surprise that many flocked to Meet Street & The Market at Hope Botanical Gardens last Saturday, for an experience brought to life by Jamaica Food and Drink Festival and Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Festival. Picnic blankets, stools, and chairs dotted the grounds as attendees enjoyed the perfect weather while showing off their best festival-ready outfits. While jerk chicken and hot dogs were the usual favourites, meat lovers were drawn to pulled pork doughnuts and crispy pork bellies, washed down with tasty beverages like Bubbles Bottles and Brews’ signature ‘beer-garitas’ or Café Blue’s new Bicoffe Frappé. As the day gave way to evening, attendees were treated to live performances by Etana, capping off a perfect day of food, fun, and music. Something Extra has the social lights.
