Movement, memory and creativity converged as the University Dance Society (UDAS) at The University of the West Indies, Mona, staged Homage at the Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts last Sunday.
The nearly 90-minute production, delivered by a 53-member troupe, unfolded across two distinct acts — one reflective, the other celebratory — showcasing a rich mix of choreography, music and visual storytelling. With 10 varied pieces, the showcase highlighted the group’s versatility while honouring tradition, culture and artistic expression and paying tribute to late members.
