Dream House |  A hillside haven with endless sea and golf course views in Hanover

In the endless search for architectural sensations, we are immediately drawn to this residence in Hopewell, Hanover. It is discreetly built on a densely forested hillside ridge, among towering royal palms and captures sweeping 180-degree vistas of the cobalt-blue sea and the emerald-green golf course from every room.

The single-level home is designed with a distinguishable roofline of assembled peaked hip and gable wood shingle shapes. The addition of a courtyard at the front welcomes and offers a grand sense of arrival.

A partial wraparound 50-foot, heated infinity-edge swimming pool is integral to the outdoor leisure area — complete with a visually stimulating water fountain; shallow submerged lounge areas inside the pool; and arched bridges over the water.

The 8,000-square-foot extravaganza on two lush acres is a composite of five air-conditioned bedroom suites with patios and bathrooms with nine-foot glass-enclosed walk-in showers and spa tubs. The living room has a built-in mirrored bar that draws the eye upward to soaring 25-foot ceilings. The dining room is air-conditioned, and a 100-foot verandah is the ideal relaxation spot. 

The furniture, textiles, colour, and accessories are a blend of both international and local artistic presentation, including unique Jamaican artworks. A multiroom wireless system facilitates music throughout. Designed for our tropical Caribbean landscape, the project was completed in 2006. A private beach facility and tennis are included.
