Shall we retreat to this seaside home, where an endless expanse of water offers a welcome escape from sweltering temperatures, the gentle rhythm of waves calms the mind, and a refreshing sea breeze provides daily relief?
Just offshore is a natural rock formation used for dining and playing dominoes. Here, depending on the tide, the residents walk or swim out to this natural gathering spot. Once upon a time, there was a suspension bridge linking both areas.
The home’s well-ventilated architecture with sea views features private verandahs and open-air trellised terraces, complemented by high ceilings, expansive picture windows and wide doorways that maximise cross-ventilation and natural light. One of the bedrooms is housed in a separate cottage which overlooks the heated swimming pool and bubbling hot tub in a lush setting near the water’s edge.
A lush garden courtyard welcomes you at the entrance, while the open front door frames uninterrupted sightlines through the home to the sea beyond. Inside, two distinct sitting rooms flow effortlessly into the dining area and kitchen, creating a layout that is both inviting and ideal for relaxed coastal living.
Where is this abode to be found? The home is tucked away in a sheltered cove, concealed from the public eye and part of an exclusive community featuring a championship golf course, tennis courts, and a beach, in Sandy Bay, Hanover. The owners shared, “The property captivated their attention, the very moment they laid eyes on it”.
