Hospitality par excellence at Mobay Convention Centre
The new Montego Bay Convention Centre, located along the elegant corridor at Rose Hall, St James, has
positioned itself as the Caribbean's premier destination for meetings and conventions. The state-of-the-art facility offers advanced support and an ideal location that encompasses Rose Hall golf and other activities for persons to enjoy in their leisure time.
The Convention Centre was opened in April 2011 and features more than 50,000 square feet of exhibition space, more than 20,000 square feet for
banquets, and more than 11,000 square feet of meeting space. Exhibition space can be divided into two halls, accommodating 4,000 people theatre-style. The flexible meeting space can be divided into nine meeting rooms, with the largest accommodating up to 700.
The hosts of The Gleaner's Hospitality Jamaica magazine's 10th anniversary awards function scheduled for October and which will see players in the industry being recognised and rewarded for their contribution to tourism, the Convention Centre is one of the major sponsors of the prestigious event.
The picturesque Mobay landmark was constructed in
proximity to five major hotels, on approximately 9.3 hectares of land strategically positioned between the Half Moon Golf Course and Rose Hall Great House. The centre is also just a 15-minute drive from the city's international airport.
