Holness explains what prosperity means

Holness: We want Jamaicans to be able to fulfill their dreams.

For months, Jamaica Labour Party Leader Andrew Holness has been reiterating the slogan 'From Poverty to Prosperity'.

At a JLP Area Council meeting in St Catherine Sunday evening, Holness sought to explain what prosperity means.

See his explanation below:

"Prosperity means that when yuh go inna yuh house and yuh turn on yuh pipe, yuh can have wata inna yuh house;

Prosperity means that yuh don't have to stop yuh pikney from school because yuh don't  have lunch money;

Prosperity means that if it rain, yuh nuh haffi tek yuh cup and saucer a ketch wata because yuh roof a leak;

Prosperity means that yuh can put on one likkle room pon yuh house;

Prosperity means that yuh can buy yuh bike and then yuh sell it and then yuh step up and buy yuh car;

Prosperity means yuh can throw yuh likkle partner and when the partner draw come, yuh use it and stock out yuh business.

We want Jamaicans to be able to fulfill their dreams."
