CARICOM review commission invites submissions from the public
The Commission reviewing Jamaica’s membership in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is inviting submissions from the public.
The deadline is August 31.
The announcement follows concern that there was no civil society representative appointed to the commission.
The CARICOM review commission has 18 representatives from sectors such as politics, business and education.
Commission chair, former Prime Minister Bruce Golding, says the body will be taking submissions from the public to facilitate a more comprehensive and inclusive review process.
Persons are being asked to email their submissions to caricomreviewpub@mfaft.gov.jm
The foreign affairs ministry is advising persons that the e-mails should include the sender’s full name and contact information.
