Several persons were detained Friday in a joint police-military operation in the Jones Avenue community in Spanish Town, St Catherine, where a curfew has been imposed.

Ground Commander in charge of the operation Superintendent Ralsford Hardy says the operation is an aggressive response to crime by the security forces.
