The Manchester woman who allegedly ran an overseas job scam is to appear in Mandeville Parish Court on March 21.

Thirty-eight-year-old Keisha Forbes of Job Lane, Christiana in the parish is charged with three counts of obtaining money by false pretence and conspiracy to defraud.

Forbes was charged on Tuesday by detectives assigned to the Counter Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch.

It’s reported that Forbes informed a number of persons that she was in a position to provide overseas employment for them.

It is alleged that in December 2017 she collected monies from three complainants amounting to $225,000.

The applicants were scheduled to leave the island last month to take up jobs overseas when it was revealed that this was a sham.

Following investigations, Forbes was arrested.
