Jordon Calder, senior business risk analyst at Digicel, presents a gift bag and, of course, a book to a student of Harbour View Primary School on Read Across Jamaica Day on May 7. Digicel Foundation visited five schools in the Kingston and St Andrew area, with the goal of inspiring a love for learning, especially in subjects related to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Following readings of the book, ‘Science in the Sun’, authored by CEO of STEM Spark Solutions, Dianne Plummer, students greatly enjoyed participating in science experiments, promoting both literacy skills and STEM education.
