The Judiciary of Jamaica says due to the effects of Hurricane Beryl all courts across the island will remain closed for the rest of the week.

It says comprehensive assessments of all court facilities are being conducted today and tomorrow to evaluate any damage and to ensure that the premises are safe for the resumption of operations.

Normal court operations will resume on Monday, pending the outcome of the assessments and any necessary repairs.

Court Administration Division says further updates will be provided based on the assessment findings.

It urged all court users to stay informed through our official channels.

For further inquiries or updates about court matters, persons can contact their respective court office or the Court Administration Division at 876-613-8800.
