Shops razed in fire at Constant Spring Arcade
The Jamaica Fire Brigade and other state agencies are probing a fire at the Constant Spring Arcade in St Andrew this morning.
Three shops were affected by the inferno.
Two of the shops, a bar and restaurant, were destroyed.
The fire started about 8:50 a.m.
The Gleaner understands that four units from Half-Way Tree, York Park, Stony Hill and a water tanker responded to the blaze.
The firefighters are now conducting cooling down operations.
The police are also on hand collecting statements and a work crew from the Jamaica Public Service is disconnecting electrical wires.
More information to come.
