Police probing shooting during dispute in St Mary

The police are probing a shooting incident which occurred in Mango Valley, St Mary, on Monday.
Preliminary reports indicate that a man and a woman were involved in an altercation at a residence in the community when gunshots were allegedly fired by a licensed firearm holder.
It is understood that during the dispute between the man and the woman, a neighbour intervened after hearing cries for help. However, the situation escalated, resulting in the discharge of two rounds from a licensed firearm.
No one was shot during the incident.
However the man and woman who were involved in the physical confrontation sustained injuries from the fight and have since sought medical attention.
