More charges for ‘Bull’ Amos

More charges have been laid against Glendon Amos, otherwise called ‘Bull’, who was recently captured after being named St Catherine’s most wanted.

The police are reporting that Amos has been charged for firing at cops in Commodore district, Linstead, St Catherine in September 2023.

He is charged with three counts of shooting with intent.

The police report that about 10:45 a.m., the police were conducting an operation in the area when they saw Amos, who is a resident of Commodore district.

It’s reported that upon seeing the police, Amos opened gunfire at the police team and escaped.

Amos was captured on Wednesday, January 29 about 1:00 p.m. during a police operation in Moneague, St Ann.

He was formally charged on Wednesday, February 12.

His court date is being finalised.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday, Amos was charged over a May 2022 incident where he was allegedly seen with a duffle bag in Commodore district which was later discovered to contain guns and several rounds of ammunition.

The police report that on the afternoon of May 13, Amos, a mason, was seen near the Commodore Basic School carrying a duffle bag.

Allegedly, the security forces ordered him to stop, but he ran and was pursued.

During the chase, he dropped the bag and escaped into nearby bushes.

Upon retrieving the duffle bag, police discovered four guns, including an M16 rifle and a large quantity of assorted ammunition.

The bag also had a cap marked "Jamaica Constabulary Force"

On Wednesday, February 12, he was identified during an identification parade and subsequently charged.

Amos, following his capture, was charged for the shooting death of a man in December 2022.

He was charged for killing Shawn Paul, also known as ‘Challa’, in Bueno Vista, Commodore district.

It is reported that Paul was on his veranda cutting the hair of a man when Amos walked through the gate armed with a gun and shot him in the neck.
