Update | Mechanic held with stolen vehicle in Kitson Town charged
A man who was found in possession of a stolen vehicle in Kitson Town, St Catherine was on Thursday charged with larceny by the police.
He is 28-year-old mechanic Anthoney King of Hemmings Way, Kingston 20.
The police report that around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, a team was on patrol in the Fletchers district of Kitson Town when they allegedly observed King removing parts from a 2015 Toyota Harrier.
The vehicle had been reported stolen two days earlier from Sundown Crescent in St Andrew.
King was accosted and questioned but reportedly failed to provide an account of how he came into possession of the vehicle.
He was arrested on suspicion of larceny of a motor vehicle and subsequently charged on February 20 following a question-and-answer session.
