Taxi operator allegedly caught having sex with schoolgirl in St Catherine granted $600,000 bail

A taxi man who was allegedly caught by the police having sex with a 15-year-old schoolgirl along a road in Green Acres, Spanish Town, St Catherine was on Wednesday granted $600,000 with surety in the parish court.
The 37-year-old is charged with having sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old.
The age of consent is 16.
As part of his bail, the cabbie was ordered to surrender his travel documents, make no contact with the complainant, and report to the police in St James twice weekly.
He is scheduled to reappear in court on April 14.
Allegations are that in February, police personnel were in Green Acres when they saw a parked Toyota Probox motor car with fogged windows.
Checks revealed the driver and the teenager allegedly in the nude having sex.
He allegedly picked up the teen girl at an educational institution and took her to the location.
He was arrested and subsequently charged by the police.
