The Mandeville Criminal Investigation Branch has charged the licensed firearm holder who shot five persons, two fatally, during an argument at a candlelight vigil in Levy Lane last week Sunday.

Patrick Thompson, 51, otherwise called ‘Big T or Thommo,’ an engineer of Caledonia district, is charged with two counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of wounding with intent, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of assault at common law, two counts of possession of firearm and ammunition with intent to commit injury, and using a Firearm to commit a felony.

Thompson is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday, March 12.

The dead are 42-year-old Stacy-Ann Mulgrave of Barnstable district, Manchester, and 46-year-old Ann-Marie Hanson of Caledonia Road, Manchester.

Reports from the Mandeville police are that about 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 23, Thompson was at a candlelight vigil when he and a man got into an argument over a motor vehicle accident.

The argument escalated, causing a crowd.

It is alleged that Thompson, who is a licensed firearms holder, opened gunfire at the crowd, hitting multiple persons before escaping the area.

The injured persons were assisted to hospital, where Mulgrave and Hanson were pronounced dead and the others were admitted for treatment.
