TUI Global Hospitality Fund has expanded its Caribbean portfolio with the acquisition of the former Jewel Paradise Cove in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

The resort is expected to face a series of changes under the Royalton CHIC brand, TUI announced at the recently concluded ITB Berlin, one of the world's leading travel and tourism trade fairs.

TIU will complement the current 225-plus rooms at the resort by adding 120 new Diamond Club beachfront suites. When completed in late 2026, the hotel will join the Autograph Collection.

According to a TUI press statement, the expansion into Jamaica highlights the impact of Royalton Resorts on the all-inclusive industry.

Royalton currently operates two resorts in Negril and two in Trelawny.

Gregory Shervington, the Jamaica Tourist Board’s regional director for Europe, welcomed the initiative, stating, “The TUI Global Hospitality Fund’s investment, along with Royalton’s expansion in Jamaica, clearly sends a strong signal of endorsement for the positive investment climate in this world-famous destination”.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Stutz, senior vice president of sales, marketing, and revenue management at Blue Diamond Resorts, the parent company of Royalton CHIC Resorts, has expressed enthusiasm about the planned hotel development.

“Bringing Royalton CHIC Resorts to Jamaica is an exciting milestone that reflects our brand’s dynamic growth and the demand for elevated, experience-driven all-inclusive stays," he said.

The resort chain says its 345 suites will feature elevated luxury, including personalized butler services, premium room locations, exclusive areas, and high-end amenities.

TUI, as a shareholder in Royalton, is already a leading leisure provider in the Caribbean, noted Peter Krueger, TUI Group’s chief strategy officer and CEO of Holiday Experiences.
