Kingston mechanic charged with Hillcrest Avenue murder

A 39-year-old mechanic from Rockfort in Kingston has been charged with multiple offences, including murder, following the shooting of a man on Hillcrest Avenue in St Andrew in December 2024.

Charged is Terrian Gordon, otherwise called ‘Quincy,’ of Harbour Road in eastern Kingston.

He has been charged with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, using a firearm to commit a felony, and conspiracy to commit murder.

The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Lester Moore, otherwise called ‘Chucky,’ a furniture maker of Glasspole Avenue, Rockfort.

According to reports from the Rockfort police, Moore was attacked while walking along the roadway about 12:30 p.m. on the December 13.

It's alleged that when Gordon brandished a firearm and shot Moor in the upper body before fleeing the area on foot.

Moore was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Gordon was charged following an identification parade, during which he was positively identified.
