A bail application hearing is scheduled for May 6 for the Jamaican-American man alleged to be behind last month's massive gun bust at a wharf in Kingston, where 66 firearms and over 4,500 rounds of ammunition were found.

Davian Roberts was remanded this morning when he appeared in the Gun Court on a charge of trafficking prohibited weapons.

The prosecution is to make disclosure to the defence.

The weapons, which included 50 handguns and 16 rifles, were discovered in two barrels on February 17.

The discovery was reportedly made around 1:40 p.m. at the Kingston Logistics Centre at Newport West in St Andrew by investigators from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) and the Jamaica Customs Agency, who intercepted a shipment from the United States.

Attorneys-at-law John Jacobs and D'Ondre Buchanan are representing Roberts.
