JC's Joseph Salmon wins Class One discus gold

Jamaica College’s Joseph Salmon picked up back-to-back discus gold medals at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships on Thursday after winning the Class One title with a throw of 62.14 metres.

It is his first year in the class.

Salmon, who had won the Class Two title last year while representing Clarendon College, was dominant in the field as the next best was St Catherine’s Rajay Hemmings, 54.61.

Munro College’s Rajeem Streete threw 54.50 for the bronze medal.
