Scotiabank Vision Achiever welcomes trailblazing entrepreneurs to 2025 cohort

A fresh wave of entrepreneurial talent is set to receive expert training and mentorship through the 2025 Scotiabank Vision Achiever Programme. Over 20 dynamic businesses from across Jamaica were officially selected to participate in the acclaimed 17-week business development initiative powered by Marcia Woon Choy of ActionCOACH Jamaica Ltd.

From industries spanning education, robotics, tourism to medicine and manufacturing, the selected entrepreneurs are poised for growth and transformation. This year’s programme has attracted well-known names such as Tessanne Chin Crooks, winner of The Voice (2013); Krystal Tomlinson, media personality and motivational speaker; and Timothy Skyers, co-founder of the popular culinary brand, The Pink Apron. `

“The quality of the applications received affirms that Jamaica has incredibly talented people with the ability to impact the world,” said Kaysia Johnson Vaughan, director, small business client experience at Scotiabank. “It will be remarkable to witness the growth these companies achieve after completing such a powerful and comprehensive training experience.”

FINALISTS

The selection process was a close one as participants faced the panel of experienced judges: Kaysia Johnson Vaughan, director, small business client experience, Scotiabank; Pamela Douglas, acting director, customer experience and advocacy, Scotiabank; Craig Mair, director of credit risk, Scotiabank; Andre Wedderburn, group operations director, Trendmedia: and Kishner Cowell, group head of sales, Trend Media, proving why they deserved to be among the finalists for this year’s Scotiabank Vision Achiever Programme.

Participants will go through a seven-module programme which covers training in sales, systemising business processes, marketing and understanding business financials as well as building capacity as a leader. Not only will participants receive the skills to refine their business strategies, strengthen their leadership capabilities and network, but each will have a chance to walk away with one of the top-three awards among other prizes, a release outlined.

The finalists are Fruit Blossoms; Phoenix International Trading and Logistics Co. Ltd.; F&E Energy; Vivir bien Medical Centre; Castor Care Jamaica; Krwtronics; PT by PT Clinic, Daniellia White Organization, SureCare Medical Centre Limited, Xquisite Events by Shadine, DanCam Partnered Solutions, Total Care Wellness and Rehab Solutions Ltd, Kids Kidney & Family Care Centre; Northern Jamaica Institute of Neuroscience; Pink Apron Jamaica Limited; Dataffluent Limited; ProActive Physical Therapy and Wellness, McFarlane and Partners; MahGord’s; Krystal Tomlinson/The Speakers’ Academy; and Chinita Entertainment Ltd.

In addition to the coaching module, participants will also benefit from access to a business consultancy grant, assistance to create business plans, marketing plans and financial statements.
