Teenage boy and elderly man drown in Manchester

The Manchester police have launched investigations into the suspected drowning of two persons in separate incidents in the parish on Monday.

The police have identified the victims as 76-year-old Edwin Ellis of Minor district, Manchester, and 17-year-old Allando Segree, a student of Troy High School in Trelawny and a resident of Craighead, Manchester.

Segree was reportedly swimming in the Craighead River about 2 p.m. when he got into difficulty and drowned.

Meanwhile Ellis' body was observed about 11:08 a.m. floating in a pond in Dykes Hill district, Spaldings.

The Christiana and Spaldings police are investigating the matters.
