Vendor gunned down outside school in Old Harbour

The Old Harbour police in St Catherine are searching for the attackers responsible for the killing of a vendor outside a high school in the parish on Thursday.

Dead is 49-year-old Orville Bloomfield, otherwise called ‘Bloodstain’, of Longville Park, Clarendon.

Reports are that around 5:50 a.m., Bloomfield was selling along South Street near the entrance to Old Harbour High School when he was pounced upon by unknown assailants, who shot him multiple times.

Bloomfield was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has been established in Bloomfield's death.
