86-y-o man among two killed in separate crashes in St Ann

A senior citizen was one of two persons who died as a result of injuries sustained in two separate crashes in St Ann yesterday.

Dead are 28-year-old Andylo Chambers of Windsor district, St Ann, and 86-year-old Claudius Brown of Salem, Runaway Bay, St Ann.

In the first incident, it is reported that around 11:15 a.m., Chambers was driving a motorcycle along the main road in Llandovery when he crashed into a Toyota Probox motor car.

In relation to Brown, it is reported that around 5:45 p.m., he was riding a bicycle along the main road in Salem when, upon reaching the vicinity of a popular restaurant, he was hit by a Toyota Mark X motor car.

He was assisted to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The drivers in both incidents have been warned for prosecution.

Investigations into both matters are being conducted by the St Ann Traffic Department.
