Policeman's spouse killed in MoBay shooting, cop and his son injured

The spouse of a policeman was shot and killed and the policeman and his young son seriously injured in a gun attack in Reading on the outskirts of Montego Bay, St James, on Saturday.

The incident reportedly occurred about 8:39 p.m.

The policeman and the child are reportedly in critical condition in hospital.

He is reportedly a member of the Area One Lottery Scam Task Force.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has not yet given an official report on the incident

A message from the Jamaica Police Federation on the shooting noted that "this is a sad time for the Jamaica Constabulary family".

"We implore our members to be vigilant on or off duty," it said.
