Veteran jockey Oneil Mullings killed in gun attack, two brothers identified as suspects
The St Andrew South police are probing the shooting death of 49-year-old veteran jockey Oneil Ricardo Mullings in his community on Sunday.
The police say two brothers, with whom Mullings had a dispute earlier in the day, have been identified as suspects in the case.
Mullings was a jockey at Caymanas Park in St Catherine.
The police report that Mullings was along Thompson View Avenue, Kingston 11, where he lived, when he was approached by a man armed with a firearm.
The gunman opened fire, hitting Mullings in the head.
He was assisted to hospital by the police, where he was pronounced dead.
The police are appealing to anyone who may have information on Browns’ whereabouts to contact the Hunts Bay police at 876-923-7111, Crime Stop at 311, the JCF Tip Line at 811, or the nearest police station.
Investigations continue.
