Fatal police shooting on Whitehall Avenue in St Andrew

A man was fatally shot by the police at a premises along Whitehall Avenue in St Andrew on Monday afternoon.
He is yet to be identified.
The incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m.
This is the second fatal police shooting in Jamaica today.
Earlier today, the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) was called to a fatal incident on Maiden Street in Kingston Eastern.
The deceased man was identified by the alias ‘Southie’.
According to INDECOM, as of today, 239 people have been killed by the security forces this year.
Investigations are ongoing.
