The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) says starting tomorrow, several of its properties, including Dunn’s River Falls and Park, the Ocho Rios Bay Beach, and Harmony Beach Park in Montego Bay, St James, will reopen to the public following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

As part of Jamaica’s ongoing recovery, the UDC says it has prioritised the restoration of these public spaces to support both residents and visitors as it works to restore normalcy.

At Harmony Beach Park, which will initially open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the UDC says it is creating a safe and welcoming environment for the Montego Bay community, a place to reconnect and recharge.

In the coming weeks, visitors will have access to free internet connectivity through Starlink, as well as phone charging stations, allowing families and community members to stay connected during this period of national recovery.

The UDC says the reopening of Dunn’s River Falls and Park and Ocho Rios Bay Beach marks a significant step toward the return of normal operations within Jamaica’s tourism and recreation sectors.

“Our teams have worked diligently to conduct safety checks, remove debris, and ensure that all facilities are secure and ready to receive patrons once again.”
