The National Works Agency (NWA) has advised that the roadway from Spanish Town to Bog Walk in St Catherine is now open to vehicular traffic.

It says the roadway, which had been blocked at several locations since the passage of Hurricane Melissa, is now fully cleared.

The traffic lights at Flat Bridge are also now in operation, the NWA says.

Meanwhile, the NWA is advising commuters to exercise extreme caution while using the roadway from Williamsfield to Glengoffe, also in St Catherine.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says that the roadway which had been blocked was cleared, but continues to have issues in the vicinity of Freedom.

Shaw says there have been recurring blockages by landslides at this location and motorists should remain vigilant while using the corridor.

The NWA is urging all motorists to exercise caution while using the roadways across the island, particularly in areas still experiencing rainfall.
