Man fatally shot by police in alleged confrontation in St Thomas

A man was fatally shot by the police during an alleged confrontation in Gutter Head district, St Thomas today.
The deceased has been identified as Christopher Duffus.
The incident happened at 4:40 a.m.
The police reported that a black and silver Smith & Wesson pistol with five 9mm rounds was seized at the scene.
They did not provide details on the incident.
The police say the matter has been reported to the Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight Bureau and the Independent Commission of Investigations.
