A woman who was at a police station in the Corporate Area making a report has been charged for allegedly stealing the cell phones of another woman who was also at the station filing a report.
Charged with simple larceny is 39-year-old Suzan McLean of a St Andrew address.
The incident happened on Friday at a police station located in the St Andrew North Police Division.
Reports from the police are that about 3:00 p.m., a woman visited the station to make a report and, while there, she left her two cell phones in the guardroom area.
McLean, who was also at the station making a report, allegedly removed the woman’s phones and had them in her possession.
The police say a brisk search of her person revealed both devices.
She was taken into custody and subsequently charged.
A court date for her is being arranged.
