Truck driver dies after suspected electrocution in St Catherine

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch in St Catherine has launched a probe into the death of a truck driver who is suspected to have been electrocuted.

Dead is 27-year-old Demari Lewis of Mountain Side district in St Elizabeth.

The police report that around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday Lewis was found with electrical injuries on a tarpaulin atop a truck parked along Old Harbour Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police say the matter is suspected to be a case of death by misadventure.
