Update | Woman injured in March Pen Road gun attack dies
The woman who was one of two people wounded in a gun attack in the community of March Pen Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine last night has since succumbed to her injuries.
She has been identified as 33-year-old Customer Service representative Geneve Phillips, a resident of the community.
Phillips, who was reportedly shot in the abdomen, passed away this afternoon.
The other victim, 32-year-old labourer Damion Duncan, also a resident of the community, was pronounced dead at the hospital yesterday.
The police have yet to establish a motive for the shooting.
Reports indicate that around 8:45 p.m., explosions were heard in the area.
Upon the arrival of police, both individuals were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to the Spanish Town Hospital.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
