A 54-year-old woman has been charged with arson and burglary in Clarendon after a dispute in August escalated to a fire incident on Friday.
Jennifer Bachan, also known as ‘Sandra,’ a hospital attendant from Savoy district in Christiana, in Manchester reportedly had a disagreement with a man in August, during which he allegedly broke her left foot.
That matter was reported to police, and the man was subsequently arrested and charged.
On Friday, after the man left his residence, Bachan allegedly went to his home, used a key to enter his room, and set a mattress on fire, a police statement said.
She then fled onto the roadway, prompting persons who allegedly saw her to alert police and the fire department.
Bachan was apprehended at the scene and formally charged following a question-and-answer session.
