The police have now charged a third man who was taken into custody in connection with the death of St Catherine contractor Humphrey Brown, who was killed and whose body was subsequently found in a shallow grave.

Charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, unlawful burial of a corpse, larceny, aiding and abetting, robbery with aggravation, among other offences, is 24-year-old taxi operator Romeo O’Connor, otherwise called Tucker and Dajaun Donigall, of Lincoln Avenue and Church Pen in Old Harbour, St Catherine.

O’Connor was charged on Monday by detectives attached to the Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch following an identification parade.

He was arrested two weeks ago after an intensive probe by the police in the parish.

O’Connor joins Leonardo Swaby and Nathan Williams, who were previously arrested and charged in connection with Brown’s murder.

They have since made several court appearances.

Brown was reported missing on July 11.

It is alleged that about 11:02 p.m., Brown was last seen leaving his home in Willowdene, Spanish Town, in his Mercedes-Benz motor car after receiving a phone call and heading to Church Pen in Old Harbour.

When he failed to return or make contact for several days, a missing person report was filed, prompting a police investigation.

His vehicle was discovered 13 days later by police personnel in Alexandria, St Ann.

During the investigation, police discovered that Brown’s bank card had been used at an ATM.

Police say CCTV footage revealed two men, later identified as Swaby and Williams, conducting transactions with Brown’s card.

Further investigations led to the arrest of the two men during an operation in Linstead.

According to the police, during an interview, they confessed to their involvement in the crime and led police to where Brown’s body was buried.

Two days later, on July 24, Brown’s body was found in a shallow grave in Thetford, Old Harbour, St Catherine.
