Clarendon pedal cyclist dies after collision with motorcycle

The Clarendon police are investigating the death of a 62-year-old pedal cyclist who was struck by a motorbike on Tuesday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Francisco Thomas, otherwise called 'Bagga,' a higgler from Rocky Point, Clarendon.

Thomas was riding his pedal cycle along the Rocky Point Main Road about 7:15 p.m.,,when he was hit by a motorcycle driven by a 29-year-old man from Hayes in the parish, reports say.

Thomas sustained severe injuries and was transported to the May Pen Hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.

The driver of the motorcycle has been issued a warning for prosecution.

The Lionel Town police are investigating.
