The Hanover Infirmary, home to some of society’s most vulnerable, received a dose of compassion and celebration this holiday season.

The initiative was led by Copperwood Pork’s production team and CB Group’s ‘Do Good’ volunteers, who gave their time to create a festive atmosphere. Alongside the meal, CB Group donated water, hygiene products and other daily necessities, supporting both immediate needs and residents’ well-being during its second annual Christmas luncheon in December, spreading warmth and togetherness among residents.

Matron Kayon Dyer welcomed the gesture. “Initiatives like this are incredibly important and uplifting for our residents,” she said. “The infirmary cares for some of the most vulnerable members of our society, and moments like these bring genuine joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging. It reassures our residents that they are seen, valued, and truly cared for.”

She added: “From singing Christmas carols and dancing together to enjoying the tasty meals, it was a truly special experience that lifted everyone’s spirits.”

Kaydia Rowe, plant manager at Copperwood Pork and member of the ‘Do Good Crew’, said the effort was about “showing up with intention and heart”. She coordinated volunteers, managed donations and organised carol singing. “Despite the challenges brought on by Hurricane Melissa, our volunteers were grateful for the opportunity to give back,” she said. “Many shared that the experience gave them perspective and reminded them of how much there is to be thankful for.”

Nicole Hall, senior manager for commercial marketing at CB Foods, stressed the importance of continuity. “This marks the second year that CB Group has supported the Hanover Infirmary during the Christmas season, and we’re proud to continue building on that tradition,” she said. “Beyond providing essential items and hosting the Christmas luncheon through our CB Foods brands, what matters most is taking the time to connect and share meaningful moments with the residents.”
