Man killed in St Elizabeth traffic crash

A man said to be of unsound mind was killed in a traffic crash after he reportedly walked into the path of a vehicle in St Elizabeth on Friday night.
He has been identified as Phillip Walters, otherwise called 'Junior,' from Haughton in the parish.
Reports are that about 9:40 p.m. Walters was in the Lacovia area when he reportedly walked into the path of a 2004 Honda Fit motor car.
He sustained severe injuries and was assisted to hospital, where he later succumbed.
The driver of the Honda Fit was warned for prosecution.
Investigations into the incident are being carried out by the Black River Traffic Department.
