Man shot dead in Amity Hall, St Catherine

Detectives attached to the Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch in St Catherine are investigating the identity of a man who was shot and killed by unknown assailants on Wednesday.
Residents report hearing explosions around 11:30 p.m., in the farming community of Amity Hall, St Catherine.
Police were summoned to the scene at approximately 6 a.m. the following day.
On arrival, officers found the body of a man estimated to be in his early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, dressed in black pants and an orange shirt.
Preliminary checks revealed apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body and masking tape around the neck.
The scene was processed, and the body removed.
