Forty-three-year-old Christopher Gardwood from Kingston has been charged with receiving stolen property after police intercepted a stolen Honda Fit motor car in Lauriston, Spanish Town, St Catherine, on January 9.
Police reports state that Gardwood was travelling in the vehicle around 11 p.m. when officers stopped it.
The occupants reportedly fled on foot, and the car was removed to the station, where a thorough search confirmed it had been stolen in January 2025, the police say.
Investigations by Spanish Town Police led to the recovery of several other stolen vehicles and to Gardwood’s apprehension.
He was charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
