Security guard charged for allegedly stealing $460,000 while on the job

A Spanish Town, St Catherine security guard has been charged for allegedly cutting open a money bag he received while on the job and stealing cash amounting to $460,000.
Thirty-eight-year-old Ricardo Nicholas of Dela Vega City has been charged with larceny as a servant.
His court date is being finalised.
Reports from the Central police are that about 7:54 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, Nicholas was responsible for receiving money bags delivered by a cash-in-transit team.
According to police, investigations revealed that he used a sharp instrument to puncture one of the bags and remove cash.
The incident was captured on CCTV, the police said.
Based on the footage and witness statements, Nicholas was subsequently charged.
