Police seeking men after AR-15 and ammunition seized in Papine, St Andrew

The police are searching for two men who dropped a bag containing an AR-15 sub-machine firearm and two loaded magazines while fleeing from cops in Papine, St Andrew on Saturday.

Reports from the Half-Way-Tree Criminal Investigations Branch are that about 12:30 a.m., police were on patrol in the area when they observed two men behaving in a manner that aroused suspicion.

Upon the approach of the lawmen, both men fled, and the police gave chase.

During the pursuit, the men reportedly dropped a black backpack containing an AR-15 sub-machine firearm, along with two magazines holding forty 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Investigations are ongoing.
