April 2026 was nothing short of transformational for the NAJ & Health Services Co-operative Credit Union as we proudly joined the 2026 Reach and Teach Tour, under the theme “Financial Lit A It!”. This initiative was more than a campaign; it was a call to action, blending financial empowerment with holistic well-being across communities, institutions, and generations.

At the heart of our outreach was a partnership with the Kingston & St Andrew Health Department. On Thursday, April 16, 2026, we hosted a team wellness and screening session at 6 Trevennion Park Road. Through KSA’s Know Your Numbers (KYN) Team, our team members received critical health screenings, blood pressure, blood sugar and more checks with professionals on hand to interpret results and guide next steps. This initiative reinforced a vital truth: financial literacy and physical health are deeply interconnected. A healthy team is a financially resilient one.

Our commitment to education extended beyond our walls. On April 22, we engaged the bright minds of Pentab High & Evening Institute in an interactive financial literacy session tailored to empower youth. Central to the discussion was the practical and impactful 50/30/20 budgeting rule, managing expenses and savings effectively. This engagement formed part of our broader proposal to collaborate with secondary institutions, fostering early financial responsibility and long-term economic stability among Jamaica’s next generation.

Ongoing financial literacy sessions were conducted at the University Hospital of the West Indies and Cornwall Regional Hospital. These sessions provided participants with deeper insights into money management, goal setting, and practical financial planning. Attendees gained the confidence to make informed decisions, improve their financial behaviours, and build a secure future. In addition to education, we ensured access to opportunity. Members were introduced to our vehicle and home improvement loan offerings during sessions across our digital platforms at @NAJHSCCU. We extended financial knowledge and access to products.

By merging health awareness, youth engagement, community participation, and continuous education, NAJ & Health Services Co-operative Credit Union has once again demonstrated its role as a pillar of support and progress. As we move forward, the message remains clear: when you say “Financial Lit A It,” you take control, build resilience, and create a future filled with possibility.
